AI Safety Network publishes and disseminates impactful research and information, fostering a culture of excellence to support researchers and entrepreneurs. The platform nurtures collaboration and openness, interdisciplinary and holistic approaches, and a collective mindset to promote real-world impact for society's benefit. As AI permeates the fabric of societies worldwide, the necessity for rigorous safety measures, ethical considerations, and robust governance structures becomes paramount. To this end, the project focuses on five distinct areas of concern—technical AI safety, AI and misinformation, AI and the climate, AI in education and society, and AI and frontier technologies.
AI Safety Network engages with AI researchers and organizations as publishing consultants, editors, and strategic communication partners, covering various activities—from strategic research, article selection, and media surveying to communication stewardship. The project’s ambition to become a “community broadcaster” seeks to accomplish research amplification, editorial planning, external communications, strategic advice, and reputation management. AI Safety Network aims to collaborate closely with renowned research organizations to help inform on and mitigate the social, economic, and technological impacts of emerging AI technologies. The platform focuses on communicating the risks of frontier AI, advocating for safe development practices and social risk reduction, safeguarding a responsible future, and enhancing transparency to build public trust.
The current platform is based on a commercial theme that was implemented to launch the project. The design work in progress focuses on developing an interactive approach that breaks away from the conventions of academic norms to propose a truly engaging reading and information experience.
